Your mission
As our Country Lead, you will act as a strategic partner to our team leads, drive sustainable growth across key client relationships, and uncover new business opportunities. You will lead our German team with entrepreneurial vision, empathy, and excellence. As a member of our international Management Board, you will report directly to the CEO and help shape the future of our European agency collective.
 
Your Key Responsibilities at a Glance
Business-Development & Client Growth
  • Proactively identify and approach new clients and business opportunities
  • Nurture and grow long-term relationships with existing clients, unlocking their full potential
  • Provide strategic guidance to pitch teams, ensuring alignment with client needs and market trends
 Leadership & Team Development
  • Serve as the go-to leader for all strategic and content-related topics across the German team, particularly for your team leads
  • Recognize individual talents and foster growth through close collaboration with leadership
  • Partner with our international People & Culture team to support performance reviews, understand individual development needs, and co-create learning programs
  • Ensure quality delivery across teams, define standards, and continuously refine processes
International Cooperation
  • Actively contribute to our OVAL Board (monthly meetings, remote and in-person, in France, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands)
  • Engage in cross-market initiatives to strengthen OVAL’s positioning as a pan-European agency
  • Oversee the efficient use of international resources in project execution and pitching
  • Share insights, trends, and key-learnings from international markets with your local team
Your profile
  • You hold a university degree or bring equivalent professional experience — ideally in a leadership role such as Team Lead, Group Head, or Managing Director at an agency.
  • You are well-versed in the dynamics of agency life and thrive in fast-paced, creative environments.
  • You bring at least 5 years of leadership experience — and a genuine passion for developing people.
  • You are passionate about outstanding design, inspiring brand experiences, and rigorous execution.
  • You build trust and inspire — both internally and externally, strategically and interpersonally.
  • You think fast, communicate with clarity, and enjoy offering strategic direction.
  • You love to present — in German, English, and ideally one additional language.
  • A high level of fluency and professionalism in English is essential to ensure seamless communication with international clients and within our global teams
